It's official, the so called expert spearheading the NHS IT drive into a £20 billion black hole failed his computer studies course, according to his mother. It was reported in The Observer that Mrs Granger was surprised that her son Richard Granger was in charge of the new NHS IT programme.

She had to write a letter on his behalf to resit his computer studies exam after failing it. This may offer some insight into why the new NHS IT project has spiralled out of control, with billions of tax payers money wasted whilst hospitals around the country are being forced to close wards and shut down services.
